Sabrina Orque, SHRM-SCP
Chief Executive Officer
Hello there! I founded SOLV HR in 2013 in an effort to reimagine how HR can work with companies. I was surprised to see so many companies without a complete HR program. Some companies had no HR while other companies delegated the HR function to another role like finance or operations. I believe that HR is necessary and must have its own department because HR deals with employees (people) which takes up most of a company’s resources. I am first and foremost a business owner and I understand what corporate leaders, small business owners and entrepreneurs are looking for in a strategic business partner. I aim to connect with each individual decision maker to help them get the most out of their HR program. I term my model as “Sustainable HR” where my HR firm uses “One Unit” (HR team) approach rather than using a single consultant in servicing our clients. With a diverse workforce spanning several generations, backgrounds, political views and personal preferences, our HR must be just as diverse as our client’s employees.
My experience includes working as the Vice President of Human Resources with James Beard award winning Chef Charlie Palmer, overseeing 12 properties (restaurants and hotels) with approximately 1,500 employees. I was part of the opening HR team who interviewed 70,000 candidates for 2,600 positions at the new Aladdin Resort and Casino (now Planet Hollywood). I was also part of the opening HR team for Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. We interviewed over 35,000 candidates to fill 5,000 positions. I’ve also opened several high-end restaurants across the country. I have experience in operating in multiple states including New York, Washington D.C., California, Texas, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, and Florida. I have over 25 years in HR with 18 years management experience overseeing recruitment, benefits & compensation, traditional labor relations, organizational development, and employee relations.
Currently, I serve as an events committee member of Global Gaming Women’s (GGW) Mentorship division and a past moderator of GGW’s Lean In Circles. I am a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). I also founded Las Vegas Hospitality Service Providers; an organization dedicated to being advocates for hospitality operators in Las Vegas. On the philanthropic side, I served on the board of Autism Community Trust and raised contributions to Families with Effective Autism and the Discovery Museum.
As part of the advisory board of the Healthcare Performance Management (HPM) Institute; a research and education organization dedicated to promoting the use of business technology and management principles that deliver better and more cost-effective healthcare benefits for employers, employees, and government entities, I collaborated on a white paper which outlined a company’s discovery of approximately $1M in potential healthcare costs.
Some of my other engagements include:
- Media Finance Management “MFM” Conference – Panel Speaker

- National Business Institute Seminars “NBI” – Speaker
