Shana Wiley, SPHR, PCC
SR. HR CONSULTANT & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
My name is Shana and I help our clients with strategic HR work such as company reorganization, strategy, assessment and ERP implementation and integration. I am the gal who has her boots on the ground. I do most of the traveling for our clients who are out of state, but I prefer to be home gardening.
I am knowledgeable about all HR-related topics including compensation & benefits strategy, talent acquisition, employee incentives and engagement, leadership development, and executive coaching. I have experience in gaming, food & beverage, hospitality, and marketing industries.
My career began in executive recruiting and succession planning for Harrah’s Entertainment (now Caesars Entertainment) I was also a Corporate Manager of Employee Benefit & Communication Programs. In this role, I served on the executive HR team responsible for planning the consolidation of over 20 healthcare plans across the Company’s holdings. I integrated wellness incentives, fully managed the on-site health educators and clinics, and all facets of communicating the benefits of a CDHP across the organization.
My past experience also includes serving as the Director of Human Resources for American Gaming Systems, where I successfully completed the challenge of building the company’s first HR department. My team supported employees in 21 states and two countries, and I was responsible for aligning HR strategy to business priorities and developing the company’s employer brand.
I also held multiple positions with Wynn Resorts, a renowned high-end casino company. I was one of their first employees and my first job at Wynn was Employment Manager. During the 18-months prior to the April 2005 grand opening, I planned and executed the hiring strategy for more than 10,000 employees. Shortly after opening, I was promoted to Director of Compensation and HR Information Systems, and also served as a consultant to the opening team of Wynn Macau, traveling there for extended trips during their pre-opening. In 2007, I was asked to return to Wynn to lead the opening of Encore, the flagship property of Wynn Resorts, as the Director of HR Special Projects.
Throughout my career, I have worked extensively on the selection, design, implementation, and operation of HR systems, including Peoplesoft, Taleo, Kronos, Concur, ADP TotalSource, Cognos, and Crystal Reports, and I am especially adept at system integrations and data analysis.
While many of my coworkers at SOLV HR went to UNLV, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from The Hotel School at Cornell University, it’s rival school. I am an executive coach and have my PCC certification from the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
